Why Families Choose Us

What Makes Bauhinia Lodge Different

We work quietly in the background so that residents and their families can focus on being together.

Unhurried Daily Life

Residents set the pace. Meals, activities, and rest follow a rhythm shaped around each individual β€” not the other way around.

Personal Attention

Our small team knows each resident well. Small details β€” a preference for jasmine tea, a favourite morning activity β€” are remembered and honoured.

Causeway Bay Location

Centrally located and well served by public transport, Bauhinia Lodge is easy for families to visit regularly from across Hong Kong.

Thoughtful Mealtimes

Three meals a day in a shared dining area, with rotating menus that reflect seasonal produce and local taste preferences.

Community Without Pressure

Group activities are offered warmly and never forced. Residents can join, observe, or simply enjoy their own time as they choose.

Family Peace of Mind

Staff are available to speak with families, share observations, and answer questions β€” keeping everyone informed and at ease.

A Conversation Is a Good Place to Begin

Whether you are exploring options for yourself or for someone you love, we are happy to listen and share what Bauhinia Lodge looks like day to day.

Questions and Answers

Things Families Often Ask

We know that choosing a residential home raises many questions. Here are some answers to start.

What does a typical day look like for a resident?
Mornings begin gently β€” breakfast in the dining area followed by optional group activities such as the walking programme or reading circle. Afternoons are quieter, with space for personal time, visits from family, or guided outings. Evenings are calm, with dinner and relaxed social time before rest. Staff are present throughout and adapt to each person's preferences.
Do you provide medical or nursing care?
Bauhinia Lodge is a non-medical residential home. Our staff offer attentive day-to-day support and companionship. We do not provide nursing, clinical, or medical services. Residents should be able to manage their daily routines with our practical assistance. If a resident's needs change over time, we will speak with the family openly and help them identify appropriate next steps.
Can family members visit at any time?
Family visits are warmly welcome. We ask visitors to arrive during daytime hours to respect the rest of our residents, and to sign in upon arrival. If a family would like to join a resident for a meal or an activity, we encourage this β€” it makes everyone feel more connected.
What is included in the monthly fee?
The Stone Garden Residence fee of HK$13,500 per month covers the private furnished room, all three daily meals, housekeeping, laundry, linen service, and participation in the home's regular activities. There are no hidden service charges. Items that sit outside the standard arrangement β€” such as additional excursions or personal shopping β€” are discussed openly beforehand.
How does the Family Transition Stay work?
The Transition Stay is designed for families who would like to learn more about residential living before making a longer commitment. The guest receives all standard services β€” meals, activities, housekeeping β€” and our staff take time to get to know them and share observations with the family. At the end of the stay, there is no pressure in any direction. Families leave with a clearer sense of what suits their loved one best.
Is the Walking and Wellness Group open to people who are not full residents?
Yes. The Walking and Wellness Group is available as a standalone programme for seniors living independently in the area. It is a good way to experience the Bauhinia Lodge community without committing to a full residential arrangement. Places are kept intentionally small β€” six to ten per group β€” so that the outing feels personal and unhurried.
